Dr. Andy Lees has assisted Proteus Biotech LLC and it’s client, AMBI Products LLC, in the development and implementation of a downstream capture and purification process for recombinant lysostaphin – a staphylolytic enzyme supplied to the research community worldwide by AMBI Products. With Dr Lees’ help Proteus Biotech has successfully implemented this downstream process at production scale, with excellent recovery and >95% purity of the final product.
Dr. Lees’ in-depth knowledge of the chemistry and biochemistry of proteins, carbohydrates and chromatography processes, and his innovative and imaginative thinking were key factors in the success of this project.
